Campfire cabins

Social community and solid craftsmanship

Bonfire house, fire cabin, activity house, pavilion, the names are many. The same are the functions the fire cabin has. You see fire cabins used as e.g. club house for petanque players, cozy house for after-schoolers, packed lunch house for kindergarten children, hunting lodge for the forest owner, nature guide, fire lodge and gathering place for scouts.

It makes different demands on size, design, price and interior design. Overall, the building must provide protection against wind and weather, and often provide space for a fireplace for e.g. cooking or cozying up in all kinds of weather.

At Shelterbyg, we have, over a number of years, built up extensive experience with the construction of firehouses in a myriad of designs, sizes and prices. As standard, we manufacture our campfire houses or campfire cabins in cheap 3 basic models; rectangular, 6-sided and 8-sided. In addition, we also offer fire cabins as customized solutions, where it is almost only your imagination that sets limits on size, choice of materials, design and interior design.

High craftsmanship quality

Campfire houses from Shelterbyg are characterized by a very high craftsmanship quality, where a solid construction, careful choice of materials and constructive wood protection ensure a very long life with virtually no or few maintenance requirements.

We always use concrete foundations, which ensure that wood is not in contact with the ground.

We only use Danish larch, cut at our own sawmill, and engineering calculations have been prepared on all the fire cabins for use in building applications.

For 6- and 8-sided campfire cabins with a roof pitch of 22 degrees, we always use roofing felt, either as a smooth covering or roofing felt shingles.

On the rectangular fire cabins, roofing felt, roofing felt shingles or squid boards are used, depending on your wishes and needs.
