Accommodation in shelters can take place both in summer and winter, you just need to take the same precautions as if you wanted to sleep in a tent.
In many ways, however, it is preferable to sleep in a shelter, because you do not have to lie directly on the cold ground and have a fixed roof over your head.

How many people can spend the night / sleep in a shelter?
Shelters are available in many different sizes. Most often, the depth of a shelter is well over a few metres, while the width varies from a few meters on the smallest models up to 5 meters on the largest models. Finally, there are shelters built together, where there is often room for an entire school class. Adults often lie with their heads against the back wall. Children can easily lie crosswise with their legs against each other, so there can be many when sleeping in a shelter. As a rule of thumb, a sleeping pad takes up approx. 60 cm in width, which means that 5 adults or min. 5 – 7 children. An overnight stay in the free Shelter is therefore possible for several people at a time.
Can you sleep in a shelter in winter?
With a sleeping bag intended for winter use, you can easily sleep in a shelter during the winter. Shelter overnight in the open is always an experience, regardless of whether it is winter or summer.
