A really popular addition is one or more built-on shelters and or one or more built-on extensions. Shelters offer accommodation in all kinds of weather and a built-on extension allows for storage of e.g. kitchenware, furniture, etc.
Another popular addition is windows all around. This ensures both a view and lovely light - without wind and drafts inside the fire cabin.
